Each month we prepare care packages to send to our troops overseas. The packages contain items such as tooth brushes, tooth paste, shoe strings, various snacks and more. We can always use extra help in packing the boxes, preparing them for shipping and taking them to the post office or UPS. Please email Charon Rivers at email@example.com to volunteer to help in this way.
We can always use help from people who want to collect items for our care packages. Asking your fellow church members, business associates, your child’s school, your neighbors or friends to collect or donate items is very helpful. The more items we receive, the more items we can send our soldiers. We will package and mail them.
Items to donate for the Care Packages:
Peanut butter or cheese crackers
Dried Fruit, Yogurt Raisins, etc.
Air sealed packages of meat
Cans or pouches of tuna
Tuna or chicken salad “kits”
Dry drink mixes that can be added to water bottles
72” black or brown shoestrings
Pumps for balls
Decks of cards
Magazines (hunting, fishing, cars, firearms, Bass catalogs, etc.)
Small board games
Enclose personal notes of encouragement and support.
Have your children’s classes make thank you notes to the soldiers and we will send them
